Now that the dust has settled after our first defeat of the season, I was wondering how you all feel about the reaction from all quarters? From Jose Mourinho to the media, do you think it's been blown out of all proportion?
Being honest, I couldn't understand the Boss stating that the ball boys played their part in the defeat but again, that's just my opinion. For me, we created more than enough chances to win the game but never took them. But for Hazard hitting the post and Alnwick making a good save late on from Costa and JT, it would have been a different story!
I have said it previously, but some of the players looked tired and in need of a rest which didn't help. I thought Schurrle looked busy when he came on and so did Didier Drogba. Maybe one or two changes would have helped our cause.
I have to say that the reaction in some sections of the media has been over hyped to say the least. It's just one defeat and we sit three points clear at the top of the league. If anything, the defeat stops all this ridiculous talk of Chelsea being invincible this season and the boss doesn't have to keep repeating himself over and over again.
You have to remember that in England, the press love to build people up just to knock them back down again and that's been the case with Chelsea this season. It should be water off a ducks back for Jose Mourinho and the players.
I would like to see the positive in all this and the fact that it should give everyone a jolt, a kick up the arse to get their act together again and to re-focus.
Chelsea ARE the best team in the league when we are on song and there is little doubt about that. We MUST pick up a win and three points against Hull this weekend and go again.
For now though, what has been your opinions of the reaction to our defeat?
