With the January transfer window approaching fast, there is likely to be a wave of transfer rumours and stories that will fill out pages about Chelsea for the next month. Petr Cech's agent has decided to do his bit to add fuel to the fire!
We have seen the whole Cech vs Courtois situation pan out in the press with continuous reports stating that Cech is unhappy and wants first team football. We have even in recent times read reports that there are clubs looking to sign him in the January transfer window. All this despite Jose Mourinho's insistence on the fact that no one will be coming in or leaving the club in the January transfer window.
So to Petr Cech's agent Viktor Kolar speaking recently to the Czech Newspaper "Sport". Bearing in mind what Jose Mourinho has said and even quotes made by Cech as featured here, he has taken the chance just days before the window opens to quite literally offer Cech to Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid!
He said:
‘It’s unlikely Petr will leave Chelsea in the January transfer window. The club and coach want to keep him to help win the title.
I think Arsenal should have made an offer to him. I think Petr would be considering it.
Liverpool need to strengthen their position in goal and they know Petr will be available in the summer. We’ve been in contact with Real Madrid but they don’t need a keeper just now. But we will discuss it again in March.’
He is obviously thinking of his pockets here and being honest, his comments are nothing but scandalous. It's almost as if he has taken on board what Petr Cech said earlier in the season and Jose stating that no one will be leaving, accepted the situation but at the same time, encouraging these three clubs to come in for him. This does nothing but de-stabilise the situation here and he should be brought to task for it.
What do you people think of all this? I know that they say these Agents have their clients best interests at heart but surely they are also looking to line their own pockets too!
It will be interesting to hear Jose's comments on this if someone asks him in his next press conference!
