What do you think of Oscar's new contract?

Chelsea have announced that Oscar has signed a new five-year contract to remain at the club and it's fantastic news for everyone concerned at the club and for the Chelsea supporters!

Speaking to the Official Website, Oscar said:

‘I am so happy because I love playing for Chelsea and living in England. I have enjoyed playing here for two years, and now I have five more, so I am very happy.’

It's fair to say that Oscar has come to England and embraced our style of football. Some had doubts if he would based on the physicality and pace of our game but, if anything, Oscar has adapted superbly well.

Whether it's going forward with or without the ball, or when he is one of our first lines of defence, Oscar works hard and puts himself about which is fantastic considering his size compared to some others in the League.

In addition to his workload, Oscar has fantastic ability, technique and most importantly, an eye for a goal including two fantastic strikes in recent weeks against Crystal Palace and QPR.

The fact that Oscar is now contracted to the club until 2019 and only being 23 at the moment, we hope to see him develop into the best years of his career working with Jose Mourinho and who knows what that could lead to for him individually and for the club.
