REPORTS: Chelsea target "signs" pre contract with Bayern Munich.

Sami Khedira's name has been linked with a move to Chelsea for the past year or after he has become frustrated with life in Madrid. According to reports in Spain, the German midfielder has signed a pre contract agreement with Bayern Munich.

If this is the case, it puts an end to a story that has been doing the rounds for a long time and in my opinion, it's no major loss to Chelsea and Mourinho. We have to remember that we heard nothing from Chelsea on a possible move at all as they always do their business quietly, but I cannot remember much of Mourinho talking of him since he has been back at Chelsea.

I am of the opinion that if you are not starting games, there is a reason. Normally, it's because someone is playing better than you or is more suited to the style of play the manager wants to adopt.

Look at Mikel at Chelsea for example. Ever since Nemanja Matic has come back to the club, he has hardly featured at all and is making late substitute appearances these days. Matic is made the position his own and is far better (in my opinion) than Mikel, offering us a different option.

Khedira would find himself in the same position here as I don't see anyone better than Matic and I honestly believe that Matic has made such an impact here that if we were keen on the German, that's all changed now.

So for Chelsea to reportedly "miss out" on Khedira? It's no big loss for me!
