Ex-Tottenham star backs Chelsea to win the Premier League this season.

Gareth Bale has backed Chelsea to win the Premier League title this season. After a five-year drought, it seems the general consensus in the game agrees after Chelsea's summer spending.

As for Bale? Well he seems to be somewhat deluded as far as his take on the Premier League in general. Ever since he has move to La Liga, he has been caught up in all the hype that surrounds the "Galatico" mentality there and has claimed last season,  It's the strongest league in the world which is total nonsense. At least here, there are four or five teams that could realistically challenge for the title each season!

However, back on point and speaking after the international games this week, Bale was asked of the Premier League this time around and who he believes will win it. He responded by saying:

'I feel Chelsea will win (the title) this year. They're very strong, so I reckon they'll win this year.'

It's one thing to talk about it, another to get out there and do it, but so far, Chelsea have made an impressive start. Three wins from three games sees us sit at the top of the table alongside Swansea who we will face at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Can Chelsea pick up another three points to take us clear at the top heading towards Manchester City next weekend? According to Bale and many pundits alike, Yes we can!
