Today has seen the confirmation of a loan for Gael Kakuta, a loan which is likely to be his last as a Chelsea player one way or another. The 23 year old attacking midfielder has consistently struggled with his loan moves and this new one to Rayo Vallecano in La Liga is his sixth loan.
Barring some massive turn around in form and him really lighting up La Liga this season he will very much likely be leaving Chelsea in the summer as that is when his current deal expires and in all honestly I find it incredibly hard to see any other outcome other than Kakuta leaving Chelsea in the summer.
Having said that La Liga might prove to be just the place to express himself if he can really knuckle down and work hard to produce the type of performances that we know he is capable of.
In other news and slightly more surprising news it has been confirmed today that Isak Ssewnakambo has left Chelsea and joined NAC Breda on a one year deal. It is a surprise because Ssewankambo has done well since joining Chelsea and put in some good performances and looked to be a very promising player.
There is nothing to say why this move has happened and it is very likely that there won't be too, but it is a player we have lost that had prospects. We have plenty of young talents at the club and it is not going to be a huge blow for the academy but it is still a strange move to have happened.
Meanwhile out in Austria the academy sides have been in action both teams playing Red Bull Salzburg who have hosted the Chelsea youngsters during their training camp. The U18's came away 3 -1 winners in their outing, 2 goals from Mukhtar Ali and a penalty from Tammy Abraham gave Chelsea the win. For the U21's they played their U23's counterparts with a very young squad given the majority of key U21's players are with Jose at the moment. That game eventually finished in a 3 - 3 draw with Charly Musonda, Alex Kiwomya and George Brady scoring the goals in that game as they prepare for the coming season.
Keep posted for any other loan moves that are very likely to keep happening.
