Wallace Loaned To Vitesse

The second loan of the new season has today been confirmed and it is the first loan to our friends in Holland at Vitesse and undoubtedly the first of a few that will head that way before the summer is out.

Wallace is the first player who will be spending the season at Vitesse. Having spent a wholly pointless season last term at Inter this loan will have to be one where he gets game time. At Inter he only managed a handful of minutes and basically spent the whole season not playing at all.

If my memory serves me correctly a loan to Vitesse was mooted last season but Wallace turned that down in favour of the more glamorous option in Serie A. 

As an attacking right full back Wallace has talent and we got a glimpse of that in last seasons pre season tour. He needs this season to really get his game going again if he is to have a future at Chelsea and hopefully this loan to Vitesse will give him just that option.

The 20 year old Brazilian certainly has plenty to prove now and the Dutch league could just be the place he can do that especially under the helpful hands of our Dutch partners. But again the most important thing for him now is to play games. If he does not get that again then it would be a huge worry. Fingers crossed it will be a positive loan this time.
