DIEGO COSTA: "Chelsea are one of the greatest clubs in the world!"

Diego Costa has all but confirmed that he IS on the verge of leaving Atletico Madrid to sign for Chelsea with recent comments made.

Speaking after Spain had been defeated by Holland 1-5, he was asked of his future and the persistent rumours of a transfer to Chelsea.

He said:

“Every year is a different story, nothing is easy in life. I will have to work a lot to fit in with the style of the Premier League.

It (the transfer) is a thing that is about to happen. I've wanted to play in the Premier League for a while. Chelsea are one of the greatest clubs of the world so there are many factors that make you take a decision like this."

So there you have it, the first time we have heard concrete evidence from anyone in relation to the move that we have been reading about for months now.

I still personally am not 100% convinced about Costa. Although the other night his movement was good for Spain against Holland, he once again revealed doubts of his temperament with his head butt!

I need to see more of him in the World Cup to believe that he will be good enough in the Premier League because I can see him becoming the target of defenders up and down the country!
