OK so apparently Arsenal have turned down the chance to re-sign him for all sorts of reasons if you believe the press. The one I like is that Arsene Wenger believes that he is too similar to Mesut Ozil which I personally disagree with but all the same, I find it strange that they would being honest.
So what next? Well as Louis Vafa posted on his Twitter Account at 13:40pm on 1st June, Cesc was in London and stopped off for a photo as below:
Why would he be in London when Spain are preparing for the World Cup? Well he was here to film an Advert but could it be at all possible that at some stage he would have met Chelsea officials??
Important developments had been spoke of yesterday afternoon as Sky Sports Spanish Reporter Graham Hunter confirmed on his Twitter account that personal terms had been agreed between Chelsea and Fabregas and a deal is close. That was in addition to reports that Barcelona are looking to replace him with Koke' of Atletico Madrid.
Everything points to Fabregas signing for Chelsea and it's just a matter of time before it's done. You would imagine that both parties would want the deal sorted out quickly and if possible before the World Cup so I expect it to be announced within days.
Bearing in mind it's a mocked up photo using a famous Eden Hazard goal celebration, The Daily Mail have come up with an interesting image here:
Get used to it people, even if some of you don't like it at the moment. Cesc Fabregas will sign for Chelsea. It will be interesting to see how Jose Mourinho works with him first and foremost but secondly in what position and formation he would play him?
Expect a deal to be announced soon and expect him to take the vacant Number 4 shirt.
