According to various sources, PSG have moved quickly to capture the signing of David Luiz from Chelsea for a record deal for a defender worth close to £50m. I was wondering what the Chelsea fans around the world think of the deal?
These details are included within an article on the Daily Mail this morning but as I say most news sources have jumped all over this one and it looks as though the deal is virtually done.
So what do you think of the deal for the 27 year old Luiz?
- First and foremost Chelsea would have made a hefty profit on the defender and if my memory serves me correct, almost double what they paid for him.
- Secondly, after their performances this season, Gary Cahill and John Terry are first team starters and will be next season.
- Chelsea have also signed Kurt Kouma and he is due to join Chelsea this summer
- Ramires and Nemanja Matic look to be Mourinho's first team starters in the holding midfield role.
David Luiz has fantastic ability with the ball at his feet and will give whoever he plays for, the option of playing at the back or in midfield. It's just comes to the point that the manager has decided that we have better options and has decided to cash in for MEGA money on Luiz.
David Luiz is a back to back European Champion, FA Cup winner and played such a pivotal role in our success. It's just a shame that it looks as though he would never have the chance to win the Premier League.
What do you people think of the deal and the amount of money we would be selling him for?
