As we sit and wait for confirmation of the injury that forced Eden Hazard off against Paris St Germain on Tuesday night, the Belgium Manager Marc Wilmots has urged Hazard to leave Chelsea and join the Parisian side this summer!
Wilmots was quoted after Chelsea beat PSG without Hazard and said:
"It’s an opportunity to be taken into serious consideration if he wants to be part of the category of players who make the difference.
It’s time to raise his level. Hazard and Ibrahimovic are two different players – but highly complementary."
Now I know I am English and I am biased when it comes to the Premier League but I'm sorry, how on earth can moving to the French League and play in a side that wins week in, week out (for the most part) be good for Hazard?
What's wrong with playing in the Premier League, the best and most competitive league in the world? Surely that will help Hazard to develop his skills and to get better and better!?
I have to stress that Wilmots is quoted speaking to French TV so we have to take his comments with a pinch of salt as let's face it, they all thought they had a right to win the competition this season because they spent plenty of money to do so.
In my opinion, you only have to look at the player we signed to how Hazard is performing now to see just how much he has grown.
Away from the idiot Wilmots and his comments, We sit and wait on news of Hazard. Initial speculation has Hazard out for around two weeks which means that he could miss both legs of the Champions League semi final and the away trip to Anfield.
Let's hope the news is better than that and he returns to the side as soon as possible.
As for Marc Wilmots, why don't you take your blinkers off and take an interest in a real league competition and see that THIS is the best place for Hazard!
I believe this is a rumour!
