Would you pay £40m for this man?

According to various sources in the media, Chelsea have opened negotiations with Diego Costa's representatives ahead of a £40m transfer at the end of the season. After the player turned down a move during the January transfer window it seems that Chelsea are pushing for a deal to be agreed before the World Cup.

Reports state that Costa turned down the move because he felt uncomfortable moving half way through the current season. Those same reports now state that Costa is more than willing to move away from Madrid with Chelsea stepping up their interest within recent weeks.

I am asking YOU the Chelsea fans reading this article whether or not you think that Costa is worth £40m? There is even suggestions that Fernando Torres could become part of the deal to bring Costa to Stamford Bridge whether it's on a permanent deal or a season long long arrangement.

I know he has scored goals in La Liga but whenever I have seen Costa, he hasn't really excited me. For that amount of money, I would prefer we invest in someone lightening quick to get on the end of things.
