Tomorrow evening, Chelsea travel to Villa Park just days before we take on Galatasaray at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League. Would you make changes or play the strongest eleven possible?
For me, I would maintain our challenge for the Premier League title and go as strong as we have possible at Villa Park. As I posted yesterday, I believe that City, Liverpool and Arsenal will drop points this weekend and with a Chelsea win, it could prove to be a pivotal weekend for us.
I know Galatasaray is huge on Tuesday, I know most people would think that it's by far the bigger game but I have to disagree. Villa means just as much as the Champions League on Tuesday, it's that important.
Jose, his staff and the players would of had a good week to prepare for this one. We have heard that Fernando Torres will make a quicker return than first feared but this game is too early.
There are other players pushing for a start or to at least be considered for selection and Jose may decide to rotate a position or two from the team that started against Tottenham.
If you were to ask me, I would make two changes to that side. Ramires to come inside and line up alongside Nemanja Matic in the middle of midfield to allow Oscar to come in and replace Frank Lampard. Maybe it's because of starting with the 4-3-3 formation against Tottenham but Frank wasn't in the game and struggled to make an impact.
How can anyone forget what this fixture means to Lamps and to all of us after he scored two and first equalled, then broke Bobby Tambling's long standing record and became our record goal scorer.
This season, it's a different story which Lamps accepts and as I said, I expect him to be benched.
The second change I would make would be Willian coming in for Andre Schurrle. After Fulham and rightly so, the German was given the start against Tottenham but as with Frank Lampard, Schurrle didn't have his best game.
Everyone else starts once again as it's important we have continuity, the right balance to the team and we look to kick on.
Just to confirm, my starting eleven is as follows:
(4-2-3-1) Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill , Terry(c), Azpilicueta, Matic, Ramires, Willian, Oscar, Hazard and Eto'o.
What do you people think?
