The whole Arsene Wenger / Jose Mourinho feud is blowing out of all proportion with various people criticising our manager for his comments. I am asking what YOU think of what he said?
(If you missed how this all started then I posted the two videos here so make sure you check them out.)
I for one stand by our manager, of course I do. Wenger started all this by deciding to make a statement about Mourinho. By stating that Mourinho continues to play down Chelsea's title chances because he is scared of failing as a manager was bound to get some sort of a reaction.
In fact, Jose spoke again on Saturday after the defeat at Man City and stuck by his guns after receiving plenty of stick from the press and pundits alike for stating that Wenger was a "specialist in failure".
Mourinho said:
"I don’t accept that one is always ‘Monsieur polite’ and the other one is always the bad guy. I don’t accept, I’m sorry."
I agree with him. Why hasn't Wenger received the same negative press for his comments? Why is it that he can get away with it knowing he would get some sort of reaction later in the day from Mourinho?
All Mourinho has done is state fact. He reacted in a way that is to the point and not aggressive so god knows why Bob Wilson the ex Arsenal Keeper has given his take on things and called Mourinho a bully!
Jose is spot on. If he was at Chelsea for four seasons without a trophy, he would not expect to be here let alone eight seasons.
Jose is also spot on when he explained that in the period that Arsenal have failed to win silverware, Wenger hasn't build a good enough squad and has a squad that isn't exactly complete. They still lack a word class centre half and another striker and anyone can see that.
Why did Arsene Wenger refuse to spend the reported £120m that is sitting in the bank waiting to be spent last month in the transfer window? The only one player he did is injured so that worked out well didn't it!
Listen this whole situation has come about because Arsenal have slipped up and stuttered. They lost top spot in the Premier League and Wenger had to answer questions on their results including the battering they took at Anfield.
Jose Mourinho has just stated the obvious. I am sure they are Arsenal fans that agree with him!
What do you think of comments made by both managers and the reaction these past few days?
Carefree & KTBFFH!
