Who's the stronger side - Chelsea or Manchester United?

Jose Mourinho has raised a few eyebrows with some comments made this morning in his pre match press conference. Although it seems that The Special One is playing mind games and in doing so, putting pressure on David Moyes, he has stated that going into Sunday, Man United are the stronger team!

As a result, I would like to get as many of your opinions on this as possible. Do you agree that United are stronger or do you see Chelsea going into the game as overwhelming favourites?

Jose said:

"We don't play against a team who are 11 points behind. We play against the champions. We play against Man United. 


The team that looks to be in the most difficult situation is the team that is stronger in that game."


Of course we are all going to compared the two sides based on League position, current form and any injury news. We now know that Van Persie and Rooney are confirmed out of the game so that puts us in a much stronger position than if they were available.  However, this is Chelsea v Man United and more often than not form gets thrown out of the window!

I have a biased view of course and can see Chelsea giving United real problems in this game. I sit see how strong Chelsea have become with arguably one of the best players in the Premier League right now in Eden Hazard and can imagine the problems he can create for the United defenders!

We have to ignore and overlook what happened at Old Trafford earlier in the season as a non event. Both sides had one eye on making sure they did not lose the game but I am sure that will be different at the weekend.

So come on Chelsea fans, we know where we are at the moment and how we are playing. Do you agree with Jose or do you think Chelsea are stronger than Manchester United?
