If Chelsea are to remain title challengers this season, the next two weeks have become massive for our football club. Arsenal, Swansea, Liverpool and Southampton will provide a stern test, can Chelsea come through it with ten or twelve points?
Pundits, Press and the Media alike will all tell you that the Premier League starts to take shape at the beginning of January so make sure you bet on Chelsea at SportsBettingOnline.ag. People use this busy period coming up as a yardstick, to judge your position compared to your rivals and to then focus on that as a platform to build on.
I am reading alot of comment and opinion at the moment of Chelsea and it's pretty much 50/50 with the way we are playing. Some people are critical of our performances and of individual players. Some blame the manager and our tactics and some have even called our football "boring".
It's easy to sit and watch the performances of Man City at the moment and seeing the recent run of results they have had and compare Chelsea's run. Even looking at Liverpool of late, the goals they are scoring and the level of performance they gave at Tottenham.
On the other side, there are Chelsea fans that understand that the Premier League isn't won in November and December and it's a marathon, not a sprint. There are people that see Chelsea as Jose has described as in "transition" and understand that although performances may not be the best, we are still (for the most part) grinding out results that have put us within two points of the league leaders.
It's these next four games that could play a huge part in the title race. As I have stated, Chelsea take on Arsenal, Swansea, Liverpool and Southampton but let's have a look at the fixtures of the teams around us.
Arsenal take on Chelsea, West Ham, Newcastle and Cardiff. Liverpool take on Cardiff, Man City, Chelsea and Hull. Manchester City take on Fulham, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Swansea.
On paper, Arsenal have the better fixtures, but you just never know. The fact that Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City all play each other in the next two weeks could be key here. Anyone that can come out of this period with the maximum twelve or even ten or nine points could steal a real advantage over the others.
Jose Mourinho has spoken today of his intention to utilise the whole Chelsea squad over the next two weeks as our games come thick and fast. Looking at our squad compared to the other three sides, the only club I see with the same quality in depth would be City but they have suffered a blow with the news that Sergio Aguero is out for up to six weeks!
Jose has called for his players to have a winning mentality, to be mature, focused and to get used to thinking like champions. Mourinho knows this period could be vital. To lose a game or two could really hamper our chances and find us two or three wins behind the top of the league. To win three or all of those games would see us climb to the top of the league and create a gap to our rivals.
The thing is, Chelsea have the potential to beat anyone on our day. We have the strength in depth and the quality. The problem is that maybe a quarter of the squad are not regular starters for Chelsea and to be expected to come in and perform straight away could be a big ask!
What I will say is to look around the dugouts of those three teams and look at the three different managers. Out of the three of them, only Arsene Wenger knows what it's like to put together title winning seasons. Manuel Pellegrini doesn't and Brendan Rogers doesn't either!
Chelsea have the master in Mourinho. If there is someone that can prepare ALL the players it's him. If there is someone who knows what it takes to win titles and trophies it's him and finally if there is anyone who knows exactly how important these next two weeks are in the title race, to be regarded as serious contenders, it's Jose Mourinho.

I just hope that his Chelsea can deliver right results we need to really make our mark on the Premier League at the turn of the year!
