Ramires picked up his fifth booking of the season against Swansea on Boxing Day and is now suspended for the all important clash with Liverpool tomorrow afternoon. The question I am asking you the Chelsea fan reading this blog post, is "Who replaces him?".
Now before you people answer, I want you to consider something here. I want you to consider how we should approach the game and our tactics. Should we stick with 4-2-3-1 or start with a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 instead?
Now the media are reporting that Frank Lampard will replace Ramires and play next to Mikel and it's seems that is more than likely what will happen.
However, I would like to see Chelsea start with 4-3-3 and play Lampard AND Oscar in the deeper position either side of Mikel. Rather than play pushed up I would like Oscar to play in that position to have much more influence on the game.
We will miss Ramires high energy and by playing Oscar there, we can use his energy for the most part with someone like Michael Essien replacing him when he begins to struggle.
What do you people think? Carry on as we are and play Lampard next to Mikel? Make a tactical switch as I have explained above?
What do you think?
