Chelsea v Crystal Palace - COME ON CHELSEA! THREE POINTS PLEASE!

Chelsea take on Crystal Palace this afternoon and by kick off, would know the outcome of Man City v Arsenal in the lunchtime kick off. Whatever happens, three points is a MUST for Chelsea!

As I have said yesterday, I would take three points and a mediocre performance right now! It doesn't matter how we play today, we just need to maintain a consistent run of results throughout this busy period to ensure we keep up with the leaders.

I wrote a few weeks back that Chelsea could be top of the league by Christmas and now it's a realistic possibility if results go our way.

I expect Man City to beat Arsenal and for us to beat Palace which will put us just TWO points behind Arsenal before we face them next Monday evening at The Emirates. A win there would see us top of the league (forget about Liverpool too by the way!).

I really cannot emphasise enough just how important this afternoon could be. Of course we would like to see Chelsea really take the game to Palace playing some really attractive football and to win by a big margin but, in light of our recent defending against Sunderland and Stoke, anything is possible!

This really is Chelsea's chance to get to grips with the Premier League under Jose Mourinho once again. If we can just take that step forward and get the win today and next Monday, we can see where it takes us!

Come on Chelsea, deliver three important points this afternoon. Anything else on top of that would be a bonus!
