Rumours are rife that Carlo Ancelotti is preparing a £20m bid for Ramires in January after being rejected in the summer. If there is one player Chelsea cannot afford to sell it's him!!
As with any season, as you move into November and the busy period leading up to and over Christmas, there will be plenty of speculation regarding all sorts of moves to and from Chelsea.
As we have seen already, we are being linked with a move for Robert Lewandowski and we are hearing that Demba Ba is wanted by Valencia and West Ham. It will continue right up to deadline day!
This rumour featured towards the bottom of this article is the most disturbing for me! We simply cannot afford to let Ramires go as he has been and remains one of the most consistent performers for Chelsea over the past three seasons!
Jose Mourinho has been quick to point out that this time around, in his second stint as Chelsea manager, there is no "untouchables" so to speak and everyone is fighting for their place in the side. For me Ramires IS untouchable in the middle of the pitch and when he isn't there, we miss him so much.
Compared to the player he was when he came here, Ramires has improved dramatically. His first touch is much better, he scores goals and he has developed the physical side to his game too. Think about Man City the other week. Yaya Toure is possibly one of the biggest midfielders you would come up against in the Premier League and Ramires clattered him at least twice!
Ramires just needs the League Cup and the Premier League to complete a clean sweep of trophies for Chelsea having won the FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League and I am sure that the club would try to resist any approaches made in January.
We would be ignorant here if we refused to consider the lure of Madrid. When the likes of Barcelona or Madrid come calling and especially for Brazilian players having seen the impact some of their compatriots have had over in La Liga, you would be foolish to think that the player would not consider a move.
I just hope the club do everything they can to hold onto him and he is more than happy to remain a Chelsea player!
What do you people think of the rumour?
Carefree & KTBFFH!
