A MESSAGE TO JOSE MOURINHO - "YOU HAVE GOT TO PLAY JUAN MATA!"

As each game passes, I am more and more concerned that it's seems that Juan Mata is wasted on the bench and if we aren't careful, he will be off in January! Jose, now you MUST play him!

Being honest I am sick to death of hearing about players tracking back. I am sick to death of reading that Juan Mata is not being played in the side because of his work rate off of the ball and I cannot understand it.

Let's look at the situation with playing Juan Mata as the "number 10". For me, we would have the two wingers tracking back and working hard in addition to the two defensive midfielders. This would mean we would have NINE players to deal with the defensive side of the game off of the ball if you also include the centre forward being taken out of the equation.

That's NINE players to deal with the defensive side without the ball thus giving Juan Mata the freedom to pick the ball up and start to create and craft as we have all been so used to seeing over the past two seasons.

I appreciate that Oscar has been playing well but for me, I still believe that Juan Mata offers us much more in that position for Chelsea than our Brazilian does at the moment, much more of an end product and if you get on Betfair I am sure you will well rewarded when Mata starts!.

If we ignore the West Ham performance, surely the performances against Newcastle and West Brom were bad enough but to not even create one shot on target against Basel last night, with Juan Mata an option on the bench and to leave him there is something i will NEVER understand and you can bet your life you would never have covered those odds on Betfair!

Jose, swallow your pride and get over what ever the hell your problem is with Juan Mata. Do what's best for our football club and first and foremost our football team and make Juan Mata the first name on your team sheet from now on!
