It's important to remember that Fernando Torres remains is still recovering from his injury so he is out of contention. Apart from Kalas and the rib injury to Ashley Cole that has kept him out of the past two England games, everyone else should be available unless we hear different today/tomorrow on the official website.
So there is alot to consider. We have to look at our last performance and the starting eleven against Norwich and the replacements that came on and made an impact.
Cech; Ivanovic, D Luiz, Terry (c), Cole (Hazard 74); Ramires, Lampard; Mata (Willian 80), Oscar, Schurrle; Ba (Eto'o 73).
Now, since the Norwich game, players have travelled with their national teams for the past ten days or so and some have performed well. Andre Schurrle has scored FOUR in two games, Juan Mata scored for Spain last night, Oscar has scored twice for Brazil in two games and Kevin De Bruyne has scored for Belgium last night.
It's all things to consider for Jose Mourinho as he prepares to face the newly promoted side as we have an important week coming up. As stated, we face Cardiff on Saturday, then travel to Schalke on Tuesday night in the Champions League before we take on Manchester City away next Sunday. Does the games coming up have any bearing on your team selection for Cardiff?
If I was Jose, this is the starting eleven I would pick to play against Cardiff:
Cech, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Terry(c), Bertrand, Lampard, Ramires, Willian, Mata, Hazard and Eto'o.
What do you people think? Who would you like to see start on Saturday?
