This man more often than not is the difference and his record proves exactly that. As I stated in my match report posted earlier, it was Mourinho's tactical changes and substitutions that won us the game and I cannot emphasise this enough!
How many times have we seen Chelsea throw away a lead (especially last season) and by doing so, it has cost us in the past two seasons? We could be sitting seventh in the Premier League, five points behind the leaders as we head into this international break but because of Mourinho, we are third, two points behind and right up there challenging!
As Norwich equalised with around 20 or so minutes to go, Jose came into his own. Seeing that Norwich were playing three in the middle of midfield up against our two and with just one up front, he took what he called after the game "a risk".
With Cole, Ba and Mata coming off, he brought on Hazard, Eto'o and Willian. He switched to three at the back with Ivanovic, Terry and Luiz covering their one up front.
In the midfield he had Schurrle wide right, Willian wide left with Lampard and Ramires in the middle.
In behind Samuel Eto'o up front, he gave Oscar and Eden Hazard licence to play their football pushed forward and Norwich struggled to pick up their markers.
As soon as that change was made, the game swung back into Chelsea's favour apart from one shot on goal from Redmond saved by Cech easily.
It was tactical masterclass from Mourinho and another example of why he has and will be, the difference!
