Come on Chelsea fans, some perspective please.

We all saw Jose Mourinho's reaction to being told that this has been Chelsea's worst start to a season in ten years didn't we. We have seen numerous other blogs and websites speak of Chelsea being "In crisis" and it's a joke after only four league games! It's time for some people to have some perspective.

Now, I admit I am worried about games like Everton and teams that will set up against us to defend deep and make it hard for us to break them down. I posted THIS article stating that we have no alternative to mix our style of play up and that could prove costly.

The Everton defeat was disappointing but at this early stage of the season, with all of our title rivals (that doesn't include Liverpool by the way) also having dropped points, there is no need to panic.

The time to panic will be after we have played ten games in the league to see where we are and then again after the busy Christmas period. I cannot understand how people are already predicting our downfall??

The Premier League season is a long hard season, a marathon not a sprint and it's important we remember that. We have some big games coming up but each of them are winnable no matter what team Jose decides to send out.

Jose Mourinho is one of the best managers around, we all know that. In the early stages of the season you expect players to take time to settle down and get used to the demands of English football. With such a big squad, that will take more time than usual.

After the defeat to Everton, the press are talking about a crisis because that result means we haven't won in three games but let's have a look at the games they are talking about.

First up was United at Old Trafford. Looking back at the game it was a decent point to take away from there as plenty of sides will be beaten.

Secondly Bayern Munich in the Super Cup Final. If it wasn't for a lucky deflection that fell right in front of their player for quite literally the last kick of the game in extra time, we would have battled hard to beat the Champions League winners.

Thirdly Everton. We all know if we had been ruthless as Jose said and put away the chances we created (especially in the first half), we would have won the game comfortably.

So there is no need to panic at this early stage at all. Two wins on the spin now against Basel tonight and Fulham on Saturday should calm everyone down and refocus on the long season that is ahead of us!

In Jose we trust! Come on Chelsea!
