Mourinho will win Chelsea the title next season - AVB

It's more or less certain now that Jose Mourinho will make a dramatic return to Stamford Bridge this summer. Personally, I cannot wait for that to happen. We look at our Chelsea team and see the fantastic quality we have. The current squad has won the Champions League and Europa League but has failed in the Premier League and we find ourselves a long way off challenging for the title.

According to Andre Villas-Boas, if Mourinho does return, Chelsea will be the benchmark for the season. He said:

'I think Chelsea will be the team to beat next year, bearing in mind the manager we expect to come in and the strengthening of a very good squad. The reference will come from Chelsea. Next year could be a good year to throw yourself into the race for the title, bearing in mind the changes at the top.'

I agree. The changes of manager at United and City could benefit the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal to make a real push for the title. However, with the squad Chelsea has, we HAVE TO be challenging, especially if Roman pays out another huge amount on compensation for Mourinho, his backroom staff and potential signings.
