Fernando Torres has spoken at the launch of Adidas UK's "It's Blue, What else matters?" Campaign and press launch for Chelsea's new kit for next season and reiterated a desire to give something back to the Chelsea fans.

Torres said:
I am happy here, I am enjoying London and happy at this club. I know my statistics at Chelsea have not been the same as in other years in my career. But I am fighting to get back to those statistics and I will never, ever give up.
I want to do the things I used to do. I did them at Atletico, I did them at Liverpool but I am not doing them at Chelsea. If I knew the reason, I would fix it in one minute. But the only way to fix these things is to work at them.

I will try my heart out for this club. There are too many things I have to give back to these people and I want to show my thanks to them. Hopefully this season we can give them two more trophies and next season we can fight again for the biggest ones, the Champions League and the Premier League.’

Fernando Torres has taken some stick this season just as he has ever since he signed for Chelsea. However, this season we have seen some of the Chelsea fans turn against him and have expressed their frustrations with him whether it's in the stands or on social networks.

I would like to point something out here despite the opinion of the doubters.

Fernando Torres, despite his "drought" again this season, has now scored 19 times in all competitions! Not bad for someone who continues to have problems is it?

I said at the start of the season that he could really come of age and could score 30 this term and I just wonder if he has it in him to do so before he end of the season?

One thing is for sure, the two goals against Rubin Kazan will do him the world of good and give him much needed confidence once again.

I really like his attitude and what he has said as featured above. It would be easy for him to take his pay cheque at the end of each month after the all the problems he has had and get by but it's good to hear of the pride the man has in his game.

I like the fact that he continues to strive to get back to being the best that he can no matter how long it has taken him here. No one can question his work rate on the pitch and it's good to hear its the same in training.

One day everything will finally click for Torres and he WILL get back to scoring on a regular basis and by working hard with the right attitude, he has given himself a chance!.

So what do you people think of the fact that Torres is just short of 20 goals this term? Is that a surprise to you and if someone had asked you for that from him at the beginning of the season, would you have taken it?
