Sunday is yet another massive game for Chelsea Football Club. We head to our old rivals Liverpool needing another three points if we are to cement our position within the top four with Tottenham playing Manchester City this weekend.
The other night with a rotated team, Rafa Benitez guided Chelsea to an impressive 3-0 away win at Fulham albeit after a nervy start. Once Luiz hit his rocket into the top corner, Chelsea calmed down and never looked in trouble.
Sunday will be different as Liverpool always seem to raise their game against us. Throw in the extra spice of Rafa Benitez returning to Anfield for the first time since he left the club and Fernando Torres looking to score his first goal against them since he left, this has all the makings of a classic.
Questions remain with regard to Rafa's rotation policy and as always it will be interesting to see who he decides to start in this one but an important point to consider is the extended break we have had compared to most weeks. We played Wednesday night instead of Thursday as we have been, so have had an extra day to prepare for this one.
Should Rafa go with a rotated eleven and rest the likes of Torres, Terry and Frank Lampard or should he only make a couple of changes and keep these three in the side? What about a Torres and Demba Ba partnership up front?
I want to hear from as many Chelsea fans all over the world on this one to try and gauge your opinions.
For me, I would like us to start with the following eleven:
Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Terry(c), Bertrand, Luiz, Mikel, Ramires, Mata, Hazard, Torres.
Of course my selection is based on Ashley Cole and Gary Cahill being out. We are yet to hear news on Cole in particular.
I would like to see Luiz pushed into midfield next to Mikel with Ramires pushed out wide right next to Juan Mata and Eden Hazard. Although Ba never started on Wednesday, I think the additional incentive for Torres up against his old side is enough to give him the nod once again!
What do you people think?
