TORRES AND BA NEED TO STEP UP STARTING TODAY.

This afternoon is interesting for many reasons. The fact we have three games in the space of six days will stretch our squad to the limit. The biggest of the all is United at home in the FA Cup on Monday and you would have to believe that Rafa will select his "strongest eleven" for that one, so it will be interesting to see who starts up front against Southampton today.

I read a report this week that Fernando Torres and Demba Ba had been doing extra work in training to find their goalscoring boots once again and now more than any other time in the season, we need them firing if we are to achieve the clubs objectives this season.

Torres as we all know has struggled and after a promising start, Demba Ba the same.

Chelsea needs an important win today to put pressure on City and to try and maintain a gap to Tottenham behind us. It's all well and good the likes of Frank Lampard, Juan Mata and Eden Hazard scoring goals for us but we need our main men to do the same.

Let's hope the additional extra work has paid off and we see signs of it today!.
