RAFA RANTS AT THE SUPPORTERS & THE BOARD.

After tonight's FA Cup win at Middlesborough, Rafa Benitez let rip at the supporters who continued to sing "We don't care about Rafa, He doesn't care about us, All we care about, is Chelsea FC!" throughout the whole game.

Benitez took aim at those supporters and also the Chelsea board in a surprising turn of events tonight when he said:

"I have been in charge in football for 26 years. I have won the Champions League, won the FIFA Club World Cup, the FA Cup, the Italian Super Cup, the Spanish league twice, nine trophies, all the trophies you can win at club level.A group of fans, they are not doing any favours for the team when they are singing and wasting time preparing banners. "It's because someone made a mistake. They put my title as 'interim manager'.
I will leave at the end of the season, so they don't need to waste time with me. They have to concentrate on supporting the team, that's what they have to do.
"In the end, they are not doing any favours to the club, to the rest of the fans and to the players."

Personally, I am glad he confirms he is leaving. Yes I never wanted him here in the first place BUT in saying that, his record at this club isn't good enough. I posted this detailed analysis of the games we have lost or dropped points when we shouldn't have done and I stand by that.

We are FOURTH in the Premier League not because of the supporters but because of the manager. We could only draw at Brentford, we threw two goal leads away at home to Southampton and away at Reading. We lost at home to QPR, we threw a goal lead away at West Ham and lost 3-1. We failed to score against Swansea in TWO GAMES and a total of 180 minutes of football including getting beat at home 2-0. Finally, we lost at Man City this weekend and despite being a goal down, Benitez TOOK OFF Eden Hazard and Frank Lampard - two of our biggest goal threats in the team with over 20 minutes of the game remaining.

You haven't performed as our manager despite anyone's personal feelings. Your record is there in black and white.

Chelsea supporters have every right to have their opinions as does any other supporter of a football club. We pay our money season in, season out and you need to remember that without the fans, the club wouldn't be able to function. Why should we sit back and accept what has been happening since you took over. At one stage, you had a the worst record of any manager under Abramovich!

Yes there is a group of Chelsea fans who have opposed the idea of you being in charge of our football team and I am one of them. Despite our songs and protests, you still had a job to do and you just haven't done it have you.

Now with your rant at the Chelsea board, you have made your position untenable. I will be surprised if he is still in charge by this time tomorrow.

ALL Chelsea supporters love our club. We support our players and OUR team. Owners, Managers and Players come and go but one thing remains and that's the supporters!.
