Another massive game for Chelsea and even more pressure on Rafa Benitez and the Chelsea players this weekend as we head up to Newcastle. After another two points dropped from being in a commanding position, Chelsea need to tighten up at the back and look to bring the three points home in this one but as we all know, it will not be easy.
Newcastle's league position doesn't tell you the whole story. Alan Pardew has suffered with horrendous injury problems and with the club backing him with some good signings this month, Pardew will be looking to pick up results at home especially to climb back up the league.
So what of Rafa Benitez and Chelsea tomorrow? Will Juan Mata be fit for the game? Will he continue playing square pegs in round holes to fill in certain positions and will John Terry step back into the side?
These are all questions that will be answered shortly in his press conference but for now I you the Chelsea fan reading this to give me YOUR opinion as to who starts tomorrow?
For me we need to get back to basics at the back and play our strongest back four, Ivanovic at right back, Cahill and Terry in the middle and Ashley Cole at left back.
For the rest of the team I would change the formation to a standard 4-4-2 going up there. I would play Mata wide left to start with, Lampard and Ramires in the middle and Marko Marin wide right, leaving Fernando Torres up front WITH Demba Ba.
Just to confirm in a 4-4-2 formation:
Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry(c), Cole, Marin, Ramires, Lampard, Mata, Torres and Ba.
What do you people think?

You're crazy! Switch ivanovic to azpiculieta who performing very good in every game and you should offer bench role for marin and take hazard in left winger but idea is pretty good if oscar isn't scoring like last game
ReplyDeleteYoure right about azpi but hazard is still off so i would still go for marin
DeleteGud frmtion 4-4-2
ReplyDeletenice one but azplicueta derseve rght back...
ReplyDeletei dont know how it would turn out to be, its far more better than the stubborn formation, which had virtualy been rendered useless by other teams; torres today, Ba tomorrow, torres for Ba or Ba for torres. All the premiership managers now know what to expect from chelsea, that element of suprise is no longer there.
ReplyDeleteThe option of playing to strikers at a time at cfc have been killed, if torres plays, he'l surely create opening or space for Ba, ditto Ba for torres.
Rather, RB, stuck with bertrand's immaturity, in-experience, roll-less display for every whose eyes still perform its primary duties to see and told the whole world that he doesnt trust his bench that consists player like marin, banayoun Ba or torres depending who start the match.
Lastly i thought the hallmark of management is diversification and improvisation why are som chelsea managers so stubborn?
