Leighton Baines linked with Chelsea? Your thoughts?

I want to get the Chelsea fans opinions on this "report" that appeared at the weekend as it's one that I personally find hard to believe.

The report appeared in a couple of sections of the media yesterday and in the "Daily Mail" in particular but in saying that, we still need to look at the possibility of there being some substance in a surprising move by Chelsea if it is in fact true.

What's even more confusing about all this, is that Ashley Cole has signed a new years extension to his contract until the end of next season AND the report states that Chelsea would be looking to play the two together at times with Baines playing in MIDFIELD??

Don't get me wrong here, Leighton Baines has really impressed over the last few seasons at Everton and it would be difficult to tempt him away from the club but there are two things to consider. First and foremost the situation with David Moyes and his contract (expires at the end of the season) and finally the financial aspect of a deal for Baines. If Chelsea offered in the region of £15-£20m for Baines could Everton afford to turn it down?

I personally think this is just pure speculation and nothing more and has come about because of the situation with David Moyes and his contract. Being constantly linked with a move to Chelsea, Moyes will have plenty of options at the end of the season and you would imagine the possibility of losing some of his big players would have an affect on that.

However, if Moyes is approached by Chelsea (if Jose Mourinho heads elsewhere of course) and decides to leave Everton, what are the odds of him making a move for Baines and Fellaini to bring them with him?
