STURRIDGE: Your reaction to his move to Liverpool?

Today Danny Sturridge has left Chelsea and signed for Liverpool for an undisclosed fee.

He has spoken to the media after signing and said:

"I am humbled and happy to be here. Brendan Rodgers said he sees me here for a long time - and I also see myself here for a long time. I've not signed here to play for a couple of years and then move on. 

I've signed to be here for as long as possible. It's a humongous club - for me, one of the biggest in the world - and to have the fans and world-class players we have here is amazing."
 

So what's your reactions to the news this afternoon? Do you think that we have made a mistake in letting him go and if you think he could be a success at Anfield?

For me, Sturridge has a lot of work to do on his game and I think we can all see that. The biggest fault of his is the fact that he is too greedy. He always chooses to shoot from ridiculous angles rather than lift his head up to play someone else in.

His natural pace and ability are without question and given a run of games with a manager who IS willing to put their arm around his shoulder, Sturridge is easily a 20 goal a season man.

I personally feel that it's a shame that he has had to move away to get first team football and I have a worry that by selling him, it could come back to bite us on the arse but, football is football.

I wish Sturridge well and I hope he manages to settle into playing for the team first and foremost and then himself. If he can do that at Liverpool, they could have an absolute bargain on their hands!
