COULD THIS GUY BE OUR NEW GOALSCORING MIDFIELDER?

I am still struggling to write the words "Lampard's replacement" to be honest as although I have said it before, I believe that no one will ever replicate his goalscoring record from midfield in my life time again.

However, Chelsea are searching for someone who is and their attention seems to have turned to another Brazilian - Taison Barcellos Freda. 

The 24 year old attacking midfielder has filled the pages of our newspapers and websites over the last 48 hours as it seems that Chelsea had agreed a fee of around £11m with his club and even personal terms had been agreed.

There is reports of interest now in the player from Manchester City, Benfica and Shakhtar Donetsk and as a result his club Metalist Kharkiv are holding out for more money and have given Chelsea a deadline of tomorrow to get the deal done and dusted. I can't see there being a problem with this so expect the deal to be completed asap.

I have to say Taison could be one of the bargains of the season if Chelsea and Roman Abramovich can pull this deal off as by watching the video below, you can see he has more than enough about him.

Of course, questions remain over someone recreating that form in a different country and in the Premier League in particular but, the reports seem to have real substance this morning and have Chelsea identified this guy as the man to score the goals from midfield we will miss after Frank Lampard's departure from the club in the summer?
