We now turn our focus to the Capital One Cup Semi Final on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge against Swansea. All eyes will be on the starting eleven that Rafa decides to go with in this one and I just wonder how he will approach the game.
As we all saw, Demba Ba came into the side after just one training session and showed a different option up front against Southampton and scored two goals. Will Rafa decide to stick with him and continue to "rest" Fernando Torres or will the Spaniard make a return to the team?
What about our midfield? Eden Hazard, Victor Moses and Juan Mata all started the other day and it will be interesting to see if they start this one together?
Will Frank Lampard start this one after coming off the bench at the weekend? Will David Luiz continue in midfield or will Rafa Benitez decide to do what he did against QPR and rotate players?
For me, we need to try and go with our strongest eleven between now and the end of the season if we are to contest honours and there should be no let up against Swansea on Wednesday.
My preferred starting eleven on Wednesday night is as follows:
Turnbull, Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz, Cole, Lampard, Ramires, Hazard, Mata, Oscar and Demba Ba.
What do you people think?
