After a couple of weeks break from the Premier League, Chelsea are back involved and ready to take on Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. With the busy Christmas period coming up, the question I am asking YOU the Chelsea fan reading this is:
If he does, should anyone miss out? You would expect Eden Hazard to start this one after coming off of the bench against Leeds. Juan Mata has more or less cemented himself into the starting eleven these days and if he does miss a game its a shock to everyone.
So where does that leave Oscar? Frank Lampard had a good game playing it simple the other night and must be in contention to start this one but then again Ramires is back available. Will Oscar have to settle for a place on the bench again or will Rafa decide to stick with MAZACAR and the Lampard/Ramires combination in the deeper role as Mikel serves the last of his three match ban.
Will John Terry be fit for the game and if he is, does he start? Expect Ashley Cole to start in the place of Ryan Bertrand but who starts at right back and plays in the middle?
I personally would like to see this starting eleven take on Villa at Stamford Bridge on Sunday:
Cech, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Ivanovic, Cole, Luiz, Ramires, Hazard, Mata, Moses and Torres.
Subs: Turnbull, Bertrand, Terry, Lampard, Oscar, Marin and Sturridge.
What do you people think? Who should start?

Who do you personally think should start against Villa and why?So far under Rafa Benitez, it seems that Victor Moses has caught his eye as he has featured in more or less all of the games under him and has started more than he has missed. After a goal against Leeds and his direct approach to the game, should he start in this one?

ReplyDeleteAzpi - Cahill - Luiz - Cole
Oscar - Ramires
Moses - Mata - Hazard
Torres
1. Oscar and Ramires played very well together versus Sunderland
2. Communication is important and they are both Speaking in a same language

Some tough calls in there, but I think ivanovic has to be dropped. He has been very poor all season and I struggle to think of a game when he looked comfortable. I'd rather play Oscar in the #10 role, but we don't have much choice other than to play him deeper, since lamps clearly aint up to it.
