Moving forward Chelsea fans, we have two massive London derbies coming up starting with Fulham tomorrow night at the Bridge and then a trip to West Ham on Saturday. No disrespect to either club but if Chelsea are to mount a serious title challenge, these are games we have to and should be winning.
In saying that, both sides are doing well and the three points are going to be hard work. Chelsea need to play well, keep it tight at the back and improve on our attacking performance from Sunday.
The questions remain. Who should be starting for Chelsea against Fulham and how should we line up against them tactically?
For me, it's important that we use these games to try one or two things but remaining strong throughout and tomorrow night is a chance for Marko Marin to finally be given a start in Chelsea colours.
I would like to see Chelsea revert back to the 4-3-3 formation that has served us so well in the past as at the moment, I believe it will give us more solidity through the team in our defensive shape.
This is MY Chelsea team to start against Fulham tomorrow:
(4-3-3) Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz, Cole, Romeu, Ramires, Mata, Marin, Moses, Torres.
The Chelsea team I believe Rafa Benitez will start with is as follows:
(4-2-3-1) Cech, Azpiliceuta, Ivanovic, Luiz, Cole, Mikel, Ramires, Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Torres.
What do you people think? Is it a good time to give some others like Marin, Romeu and Moses a start? Or should we pick our strongest available eleven to get out there and try and get a couple of goals advantage and then make changes?
Whatever happens and whoever plays needs to get out there and get the job done. We are five points off top of the league and need to pick up three points as soon as possible!

4141 cech, azpi, ivanovic, cahill, cole, mikel, ramires, oscar, hazard, mata, torres. use moses and marin as subs :-)
ReplyDelete4-4-1 Cech, Azpi-Ivanovic-Cahill-Bertrand, Moses-Luiz-Romeu-Marin, Hazard, Sturridge
ReplyDeleteTry Luiz out in midfield, I think it will work out and he could be better here than in defence! With Romeu his partner in CM it gives freedom to moses & marin to get up alongside hazard in attacks but with their work rate to get back into midfield when defending!
Give hazard the no.10 role & rest mata and give up on torres!! Sturridge has a cf mentallity and is a goalscorer!!
4-4-2 cech. (4)Cesar, Ivanovic, cahill, ashley cole (4) harzard(RMF) oscar and ramires (CMF) and Marin on the left of the mid field. Try moses and torres up front. Am more concern about the physical strength of our opponent (Fulham).
ReplyDeleteI saw a matured manager in Benitez. I will respect his judgment and line up because he must win four strait matches starting with Fulham. I will like him to drive Chelsea farward with balance.( Cech- Ceser, Ivanovic, Luiz, Cole.- Mikel, Ramirez, - Mata, Osca, Harzard. Torres. (Subs) Cahil, Moses, Marine, Romeu. We have to bring in two or three tested players in January (attarker & midfielder)
ReplyDelete4-5-1. Cech; Azpi Iva Luiz Cole; Mikel Rami; Hazard Mata Marin; Torres. Moses n Oscar to play in second half. At a point in d match play d 3Ms in midfield ie Moses(right) Mata (middle)Marin(left) as both Moses n Marin are natural wingers and will suit Rafa style and formation. Torres in attack shld forget linkup play and going to sides and should play as a pointman that he is not fall back at all for anything.
