So with the Internationals over, it's time to focus on improving our Premier League form against a good West Brom side this weekend.
At the moment, we know that John Terry is out injured and we are waiting to hear news on Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole. Apart from that, I can't recall any other players being injured.
So, who should start for Chelsea in this one? I have written two posts this morning challenging our current formation with the ideal of David Luiz as a sweeper as part of a back three and bringing Marko Marin into the side as part of FOUR playing in behind Torres - So make sure you check those out.
In my last post, I went with the following starting eleven here:
....and I believe it can work and this IS the side & formation that RDM should adopt to take on Steve Clarke's impressive West Brom side.
The formation gives the opposition something to think about and deal with as Chelsea would have FOUR players pushed forward to support the striker. I personally would stick with Torres for the time being although, Danny Sturridge could start this one instead.
So what do you people think? Should we stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation and if we do, who starts? If not, do you like the idea I have put forward but would you make any changes?

Ive checked the last posts and this this 3 man defence is the best idea and with that att we have moses and sturridge to bring in too if we need this would make us stronger in defence although 1 guy thinks it wud weaken but not at all with all that att wr wouldnt need a rb or lb getting forward there for left with 3 at bk rather than 2 with rami and mikel cover wide areas
ReplyDelete4-2-3-1 cech, azpi-iva-cahill-ryan, Mikel-Ramires, Moses-Mata-Eden, Torres. If we leading with at least 2 goals at 65mins, then subs I would like: Romeu for Rami, Marin for Mata (with eden moving to no. 10), & Sturge for Torres. Up blues!
