I normally ask this question before every Chelsea game and have an idea of the formation that we will adopt for each opponent. For this one, I literally have no idea.
Martin posted a blog post yesterday stating how he expects Chelsea's playing style to evolve under Rafa Benitez which is well worth a read by the way, but I just wonder how Rafa will approach this one as it's literally a game we cannot afford to lose.
Will he stick with the same formation with some tweaks to our approach with Ramires asked to do a job out wide? Will he change the formation to 4-4-2 or will he decide to go with three centre backs with David Luiz as a sweeper?
By 3pm this afternoon in the UK we will know but for now, I am asking YOU the Chelsea fan to give your views and opinions on how we should approach this one?
For me, I think we need to stick with the same formation but with a tweak to how we actually line up. I would stick Ramires on the right and play Oscar slightly deeper next to Mikel to get hold of the ball and pass it from deep in a similar way to Xabi Alonso at Liverpool under Benitez. Ramires would play up alongside Mata and Hazard.
At the back, I would go with Azpilicueta at right back, Ivanovic and Cahill in the middle and Ashley Cole at left back. Torres gets to start up front.
So my team is as follows:
Cech, Azpiliceuta, Cahill, Ivanovic, Cole, Mikel, Oscar, Ramires, Mata, Hazard, Torres.
What do you people think?
