Does anyone else feel like Fernando Torres' goal scoring form this season is somewhat under the radar? The likes of Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Oscar are taking most of the plaudits so far this season and rightly so. However, with six goals in twelve games so far this season, Torres is already showing signs of getting back to where he was a couple of seasons ago.
Don't get me wrong, he still looks at times a yard short of pace and hesitant but the signs are good.
One noticeable change in Torres is his body language. There is no more gesturing at other players for ignoring his runs, throwing his arms in the air in frustration at his team mates. If anything it's only at match officials!. Torres looks like he is a happy man!.

On Saturday, he could of had a hat trick being honest and it was a shame that he seemed to hesitate when it looked like being easier to pull the trigger but looking at a positive spin on it, it's the fact that he is getting into these positions and is being given the ball that is encouraging.
I have always believed that Fernando Torres WILL score you goals given the right service and for him to see just how encouraging our new attacking style of play is right now, he can only be excited for the rest of the season.
I know there are people out there that are wondering what will happen with him if he gets injured or needs a rest but I can see us getting a full season out of him this term.
It's just nice to see that Torres' goal scoring exploits seem to be unnoticed at the moment and the constant stories in the media about him seem to have stopped.
Long may it continue

Yh if he doesnt score media point it out and give him hell an now hed scored a goal every two games this year amd hes improving every match but the media dont praise him
ReplyDeleteTorres is comin back to form but d more clinical he becomes d more goals he wil score.take nothing away fro him he has good positional sense and has behind him one of the best,if not d best group of attacking midfielders in d world. so naturally we expect a striker of Torres calibre to be netting at LEAST a brace in each match he plays,d opposition notwithstanding
