Now I thought that it might just be me being picky but after listening to this weeks Chelsea Fancast I realised that I am not alone.
What is with David Luiz and trying to play 40-50 yard balls all the time!?
The thing is, Luiz has it in his locker but just needs to realise that there is the right time to do it.
Chelsea's new style this season is to get the ball down and play. Short passing, flicks and tricks with our attacking three as we look to open teams up and play someone through on goal.
When Luiz plays the long ball for the most part, Fernando Torres is surrounded by one or two defenders and it doesn't work and we give the ball away. I am all for picking a pass from out of nowhere that finds a blue shirt but would much rather Luiz does it now and again and not three, four or five times a game giving it away!.
Someone have a word!

Yes I ask the same,he was a player that liked to make long runs with the ball but now he is a machine of longshots giving the ball away,I dont know what happened
ReplyDeleteThe whole time hes been at chelsea people have told him not to mess around in ur own box with ball and just clear it, i think hes listened to that and does it all the time he does make me laugh and i believe he will go down as one of chelsea greats, just a bit more experience and he will be great, but i still thing the def mid role along with mikel would suit him better
