OK the International break is over, the players will be back in training as RDM and his coaching staff look ahead to the massive game on Saturday at Loftus Road as Chelsea take on QPR.
At the moment we are waiting on news about Ashley Cole and John Terry but fingers crossed both should be fit and let's also not forget this "injury" Petr Cech is carrying.
Saturday is a big game in a hostile atmosphere as without doubt, Mark Hughes and his scouts would have watch the nightmare for us in Monaco a couple of weeks ago and will look to cause us the same problems.
Chelsea need to be more defensively solid but I just can't see our formation changing so who should start this one?
Like I said it will be 4-2-3-1 on Saturday but there are questions that need to be answered about certain positions within the side.
Should Cesar Azpilicueta come in for his Premier League debut at right back? If JT isn't fit should Ivanovic come inside next to Cahill or Luiz? Should Cahill and Luiz continue?
What about our midfield two? Should Mikel and Lampard start again or should Oriol Romeu & Ramires now be considered in those positions instead?
What about our attacking three? Should Victor Moses now be considered wide right or do we stick with Ramires out there?
Torres continues up front but when should Danny Sturridge get a go up top?
This is going to be a hard game based on the last two games at Loftus Road and Chelsea will need to be up and at it from the off. Robbie HAS TO sure things up at the back.
So for me based on the 4-2-3-1 formation Chelsea's starting eleven should be:
Cech, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Terry(c), Cole, Mikel, Romeu, Hazard, Mata, Moses, Torres.
The reasons for my selection are as follows:
Ivanovic has been playing well and has featured in midweek. Cesar is fresh and ready to go. Luiz featured for Brazil in the week and for the moment even though I love Luiz, Cahill gets the nod next to JT. Ryan Bertrand is pushing Cole really hard at the moment but Cole still gets selected ahead of him.
I have gone with Mikel and Romeu to start as our midfield two for their defensive qualities. We need to sure things up and both of them ARE defensive minded and much more so than Lampard and Ramires.
This is a game that Frank Lampard can be rested for after featuring for England last night. Again, Ramires isn't a defensive minded midfielder so Romeu ahead of him there. Ramires isn't a winger and Chelsea can do with some pace out wide.
The attacking three will always include Mata and Hazard interchanging positions. I would like to see Victor Moses given the start at the weekend to add pace into our attack supporting Fernando Torres.
Now, I am probably way off from the side that takes to the pitch against QPR but this IS the team I would like to see start!.
What do you think? Who should start for you?

DeleteSeune Falade,
DeleteRead!!!! The line up consisted of a goal keeper, 4 defenders, 2 defensive mid fielders and 3 attacking mid fielders. That equals 10 players. Honestly up front Torres and Sturridge is a toss up. I have yet to find ANY area where Torres's talent/production over shadows Sturridge. Sturridge is faster (it is obvious) Sturridge has a better touch and dribbling abilities and most of ALL... STRIKERS need some sense of selfishness abt themselves....looks like Sturridge has him beat on that also. Strength? Irrelevant. If Torres played like Drogba then we might could use the strength but he doesn't. Torres price tag may win him the start but Sturridge deserves his time at the STRIKER position.
yes i agre with you the formation should be cech, azpilicueta, cahill, terry, cole, mikel, romeu, moses, mata, hazard, torres our stongest team.
