Chelsea's focus now turns to Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday lunchtime. Chelsea have made a good start in the Premier League and sit top of the league. Without being disrespectful to Newcastle, this is our biggest game of our opening run of games and one of our biggest tests this season.
I simply cannot see the game being a repeat of the dull 0-0 towards the end of last season with both sides making some key and important signings in the summer.
Both Roberto Di Matteo and Arsene Wenger will have a selection headache in the coming days and it will be interesting to see how both line up for kick off.
Let's have a look at both sides starting eleven's for last weekend's Premier League games.
Chelsea at home to Stoke and Arsenal away to Man City:
Chelsea in their 4-2-3-1 formation and Arsenal in their 4-3-3 formation. Both managers have the opportunity to rotate some of the players for this one and I would be surprised if both teams lined up exactly the same on Saturday.
For me, it's important that Chelsea are not overrun in midfield. Granted that Mata, Oscar and Hazard can cause Arsenal plenty of problems in between the lines of Arsenal's defence and midfield but the same can be said of Arsenal pushing three men forward.
So, who do you think should start this one for Chelsea? This is a massive game and by taking three points, we could send a statement out to the likes of City and United that we are back in contention to challenge for the title this season. We have already beaten Newcastle at home and Arsenal are the next side we owe after what they did to us last season.
Without question, we simply cannot afford another 3-5 defeat on our hands and being ripped apart like they did to us last season.
For me I would go with the following team:
Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry(c), Cole, Mikel, Ramires, Hazard, Oscar, Mata and Torres.
Being honest and after being rested, Frank Lampard could get the start in the middle in place of Ramires who has played two games this week already.
What do you people think?
