Tonight John Terry has announced his retirement from International Football in a statement released to the media.
The statement reads:
For Chelsea it's a good thing as he gets to rest up between games. For him personally it's obvious that he didn't want to retire but having to face an FA charge especially after he has been cleared by a court of law has made the situation with the FA difficult. I don't blame him for doing what he has done and stand by his decision.

I am today announcing my retirement from International Football. I would like to thank the England Managers who have selected me for my 78 caps.
I have had great pleasure in sharing that honour with all the players that I’ve played with. I would like to thank them, the fans and my family for their support and encouragement during my international career.
Representing and captaining my country is what I dreamed of as a boy and it has been a truly great honour. I have always given my all and it breaks my heart to make this decision. I want to wish Roy and the team every success for the future.
I am making this statement today in advance of the hearing of the FA disciplinary charge because I feel The FA, in pursuing charges against me where I have already been cleared in a court of law, have made my position with the national team untenable.
I now look forward to playing for Chelsea FC, and challenging for domestic and European honours, and I want to thank the fans and the club for their continued support. John TerrySo what do you people think about his international retirement?

I don't blame him, the fa look to fuck terry at every opportunity possible.
ReplyDeletealready cleared by the court of law, still the fa ain't happy, Terry might as well hand his self in cuz if the fa don't get him this time they will come up with some other shit to fuck him with.
100% focus on Chelsea now at least.
John Terry greatest ever defender, will be missed.
I agree. I hope Cahill or other any other CB take his place but not ferdinand
ReplyDeleteTerry has sufferred a lot in the hands of these so called FA people, i like his decision, what are they(the FA) trying to prove? He was not found guity by the court, the matter should have ended there. We are solidly behind U JT(CAPTAIN, LEADER, LEGEND). KTBFFH
ReplyDeletegud fo chelsea...
ReplyDeleteIt came 2 me as a suprised. But I think the F.A has been very unproffessional with the whole of this episode. A captain deserves some bit of protection untill completely & beyond reasonable dobt proven guilty. Though I thought Terry would hang on with the way he has been solid, focused & not disturb with all these. Maybe he shld just have continued even if the F.A gets 2 barn him 4 some matches & not allow this 2 tarnish his England dreams cos Ferdinand is going 2 feel more like the winner now.
ReplyDeleteAll hail the LEGEND JT, we love U in Chelsea
ReplyDeleteI'm a qpr fan but this is Ferdinand hype just like hid bruv milked it all the way. See JT with coloured team mates over the years no issue. This is s clear objective to screw JW. Well done you have buggered a great England and football ambassador.
