In a somewhat understated move to Stamford Bridge, Cesar Azpilicueta has got his head down in training and worked hard over the past few weeks. I just wonder with Juventus in mind in midweek, if RDM will decide to give him his full Chelsea debut tomorrow at Loftus Road?
There is now obvious competition for places across our back four and I have already asked the question as to who you people think is our strongest and if Gary Cahill deserves to start every week.
So now the question is about Azpilicueta who comes here with a good reputation. You would imagine that he hasn't just come to Chelsea to warm a seat on the bench as he has been part of the Spanish setup alongside Fernando Torres and Juan Mata.
Should Chelsea throw him into the hostile atmosphere of our West London derby or not? I would say "Yes" we should. It would be a good game to give him his first taste of the Premier League and get him settled into life in England.
There is a concern with the way we have defended against Atletico of course, but after looking at QPR's weaknesses yesterday, hopefully Chelsea will spend more time on the front foot rather that sitting back and defending and we can see what Azpilicueta offers us going forward.
I think he should start, what do you people think?
