Here's a question for you:
Where do you think Juan Mata will fit into RDM's Chelsea puzzle this season?
The reason I ask? It's because of the problem with our left side again at the moment. I posted the other day after the Brighton performance, that we needed someone to get out there and do a job as it was obvious to me that Eden Hazard prefers not to play there.
Do you think that RDM will move him out wide to accommodate Oscar and Hazard?
On his return to training yesterday, Mata said:
I feel really good and confident for the new season,Myself and Oriol have been looking forward to coming back and I'm happy to be here.(Source)
I think it will be a good season for us. Personally, I will try to play more games than last season. For sure, our desire is to win another trophy, either the Premier League or Champions League. These competitions are very important for us and we will try to do our best.
We have Eden Hazard, Marko Marin, Oscar and Kevin De Bruyne, We've bought some quality players which is good for the team.'
I really hope that we can come up with real attacking flair this season with the three playing in behind the striker, interchanging positions and causing teams problems. The only problem will be when we are without the ball and making sure we have people track back and cover each side of the pitch.
So what do you think RDM will do with Juan Mata? I hope he stays through the middle!
KTBFFH!
u seem too worried about the left yet we have plenty of players who can play there - Marin, mata, hazard (he plays where the coach tells him to, its not upto him)
ReplyDeleteMata has proved he can play well on the left flank. Leave the job to RDM and let's hope it all turns out for the best.
ReplyDeleteMata on the left, hazard middle and Oscar shifting play between attack and defence. He will do it much better than lampard am convinced. I feel the problem is watching pre-season, not enough link up play was involved with hazard. Malouda didn't seem to want to link up once, the play should go through him like he did at Lille and like it does for messi at barca. I just feel at Chelsea, new players aren't accommodated well and should know who the better players are like Oscar, hazard, mata and should utilise them effectively, like barca do. Worst thing about Chelsea in pre season was they were constantly crossing the ball into the box, I mean for whom! Hazard made a pass, ran into space to take again like messi does and instead, lampard/essien turned and passed back into midfield, getting nowhere. Let's stop being greedy, tryin to be individuals to outplay our own players ir ensure they dont outperform and really play for the team. Torres struggled for not getting any service and now hazard in the game against Brighton was the same. Soo frustrating
