Romelu Lukaku has taken a major swipe at Chelsea, the second player to do so in two days after sealing a loan move to West Brom.
He said:
“I couldn’t see myself staying at Chelsea. I sacrificed a year of my career with them and didn’t want to put up with it any more.I am relieved to have found a solution. On the first day of pre-season I told the manager I wanted to leave.(Source)
Roberto Di Matteo told me I ought to think about Chelsea as there weren’t going to be many other strikers this season. But this is the time for me to think about myself.
I got sick of watching the others from the bench. I played only 12 games and when I was playing well they would take me off.
I lost my hunger for the game over the past year. As regards getting minutes on the pitch, I wasted my time. I am very happy to join West Brom — it feels like liberation.”
Sorry Lukaku but did you honestly believe you would have walked into the team? Did you honestly believe that you would have been considered ahead of Didier Drogba, Torres and Sturridge?.
OK, like I said in my last post about your move, I have felt sorry for you in the fact that AVB would bring you on as a winger which isn't your position but you still need to work hard, get your head down and earn the right to be selected.
You have to face facts that you have been bought to be a long term solution, someone for the future and the fact that even as you say, RDM told you to think of Chelsea as there wouldn't be many other strikers to go up against, giving you more of a chance and you turned that down just shows how misguided you seem to be.
I really hope that the West Brom loan works out for you and we see what you are more than capable of. It's just a shame that you couldn't just get on with it without speaking out!
KTBFFH!
he shdng hav spoken out lyk dat.... Very silly of him.... How many clubs in the epl, play 19 year old strikers over established 25+ strikers?.... Even sturridge has not been this disrespectful....
ReplyDeleteYou are right, how can he expect to walk into our starting 11. He definitely needs to earn that spot on the pitch, like Torres has.
ReplyDeleteWhat makes him so sure that he can start against wba? If he cant even get minutes there , then he's not good enough. Anyway on the bright side, chelsea board will start to be serious of not wasting talents like borini, siclair etc..
ReplyDeleteStart for wba*
ReplyDeleteI wnda Ɣ we bought dis overhped player ful O̶̷̩̥̊͡Ƒ empty pride........he wil ß̍̍̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ a flop
ReplyDeleteHmmmm! An unfortunate comment. So he expected a 33yr old Legend (his hero & mentor), 28yr old world cup winner & football icon to be benched for him when he was still being taught on cutting down on eating "junks" & getting him used to life in EPL! Cool down guy!
ReplyDeleteSo sad! lets be honest chelsea waste talent! why going for young talent when you know you wouldnt use them! name it,kakuta, borini, sinclair and many more. The painful thing is we buy most of these players with big money and they ended up as a waste what a shame.
ReplyDeleteYou people are all morons, learn to spell and start supporting a proper football club.
ReplyDeleteLearn to get a life and visit your own clubs blog.
DeleteDidn't want to become another Chelsea rent boy.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes learn to spell
and he's just gonna barge past plorific odemwingie? how about long who if not been injured for most the season would have scored as many as odem. How about fortune he came back in mid season and bossed defences on his own (including stoke)... not to forget new signing marcus rosenburg oh and not to forget club favorite Zoltan Gera often plays behind a striker in a 4-4-1 formation. Having said all that a club shoul'nt sign players for 18mill and leave them on the bench
