Well it looks like Gael Kakuta will get his wish to be given a chance after all but it won't be at Chelsea!.
Kakuta is being lined up as part of a deal that would bring 22 year old Spanish right back César Azpilicueta to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea had made a "serious approach" for the player.
Apparently, rumour has it that Kakuta is keen on a return to France and I don't blame him to be honest. He has been farmed out on loan more often than not and has found it difficult to break through at Chelsea so a permanent move somewhere would suit.
I can't help but think that with the talent he has in addition to his natural ability, that we could see Kakuta move back to the Premier League in a few years as a big name. It's such a shame that it has to be this way but I guess that the pressure of football and results these days.
The levels of expectation on the club are so great now, that younger players will find it more and more difficult to make their mark.
In saying that, I am interested in seeing what happens with César Azpilicueta and if he does make the move to the bridge. At just 22, he has his best years ahead of him. It's just how much competition he would provide to Branislav Ivanovic and if he can force his way ahead of him in the side.
Also being strongly linked to complete a move to the Bridge is Victor Moses but again for me, it's a strange one!
It's obvious Wigan will only sell for a deal worth around £10m because of the clause in the contract they have that around 20% will go to his old club Crystal Palace and because they don't want to lose one of their best players.
The problem I have with this move is where will he fit in? OK, I had a moan about needing someone to play down the left hand side for us this season, but with Oscar, Mata, Marin and Hazard on our books, surely Moses wouldn't be selected ahead of them would he?
Do we honestly think that Moses is an out and out winger anyway? I always thought he was a striker?
I CAN understand why we are looking at another right back to replace Bosingwa. However, I can't understand why we would allow someone with the talent of Kakuta to leave and sign Moses to do a job down the left?
Can you?
KTBFFH!

How can you be comparing Victor Moses to kakuta, Moses is strong, can play as both striker and right winger very effectively, kakuta with all his talent is not mature enough yet, look at Oscar very mature passes, assist and only dribbles when there is no way out that a very mature player, kakuta is the sort that dribbles all the time trying to prove him self, all he needs is tine to get mature.
ReplyDeleteVictor will be playing as a CF not winger because we don't have a CF nw.
