Chelsea have had plenty of coverage on their summer signings haven't they. We wake up every day to read even more coverage of two more potential signings as RDM oversees Roman Abramovich's second revolution of the club.
With Victor Moses being touted as making the move to Chelsea before the window closes and a bid for Cesar Azpilicueta following that, Chelsea would have signed SEVEN new players which takes us back to the 2003-2004 season when Roman Abramovich first took over the club.
When it comes to players leaving the club, the coverage is there but in no way near the same scale as the coverage our potential signings are getting. That was until Roberto Di Matteo said:
"We are learning about our new players, our young players and how they fit in and what kind of level they are at right now. Then when we get back to England we have a lot of players at the moment and we will probably have to reduce the squad a little bit and try to work with the ones who we think will be with us…some of them will go on loan again for their development and progression in their careers.”
So now reports will be coming out thick and fast about potential departures as the Chelsea revolving door begins to swing faster and faster.
We all know three players have left the club and they are: Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and Jose Bosingwa.
In addition to those players and if you believe THIS REPORT in The Telegraph, it seems that Gael Kakuta, Florent Malouda AND Michael Essien could be up for sale.
Again added to those players, it's believed that the following players are available for loan: Thorgan Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku. Let's not forget from the first team squad, Courtois and Van Aanholt have already left on loan for the season.
So in total a potential ELEVEN PLAYERS could be leaving the club in some form of capacity.
Compared to our rivals such as Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United, Chelsea have been far busier than all of them. With seven in, eleven out, hopefully we'll still be strong enough to challenge for every competition we are in for!.
KTBFFH!
