As we all know Jose Bosingwa has left Chelsea after his contract expired. Naturally, the club will need a replacement to fill the void left within our squad so it came as a surprise to me that all of a sudden Chelsea look to have a deal tied up with Maicon, the Brazilian right back from Inter Milan for around £6m.
Maicon is 31 years of age now and although made a real impact going forward as part of Jose Mourinho's Inter side that won the Champions League, it's the issue of his defending that concerns me.
Being honest, he was skinned time and time again by Gareth Bale when Spurs played Inter the season after both home and away and you have to question why Inter would want to let him go?.
For me, we would be replacing Jose Bosingwa with someone exactly like him when there are better options out there at the moment.
What do you people think of Maicon? Is this someone we should be looking at replacing Bosingwa with?
KTBFFH

Certainly not.....we should look for better and younger options....like debuchy or van der wiel or even rafael.....we dont need Maicon
ReplyDeleteDon't rate Maicon, but I can see the sense. If we use he in the short term as we bring through Todd Kane in the closing years of Maicon's career.
ReplyDeleteThese is the worse rumor a've read recently, cant imagine maicon of all the right back will be name wt chelsea not to talk of comn to chelsea dis is pathetic, visionless & whatever bad name u can call it
ReplyDeletei
ReplyDeletednt tink he is good for d replacement
This is the most foolish signing chelsea will ever do.what is the essence of letting bosingwa go if all we can sign is maicon old man how many year will he play.i just pray this is a rumor that will never come to reality
ReplyDeleteMaicon? Hell no!
ReplyDeleteSay NO to Maicon to Chelsea!
ReplyDeleteNever! & still don't believe. Pls I want to know, how good is sam Hutchinson? Just wanna know since I've not seen much of him.
ReplyDeleteI think Maicon would be a great addition to chelsea. As an inter fan I can say that he was one of the constants of the team during this terrible season. He is not an every game performer now that he is 31 but e can still deliver a world class performance. Look at his performance vs Milan. Inter don't want him because they need funds to rebuild, not because they think he's washed up.
