Edinson Cavani has been a "reported" target of Chelsea's since last season. I say reported because being honest we have never actually had any confirmation of a bid being made for him as far as I can remember.
Napoli's attacking style has caught the eye in recent seasons and Cavani has been a major part of that but the question remains, "Could he cut it over here in the Premier League?".
With all these continued rumours flying around, the Napoli President has had his say on a potential move and has been quick to play down any likelihood he will leave the club unless it's on his terms!.
He has valued Cavani at £78m and has more or less said that he will accept no other offer that comes short of his valuation which being honest is ridiculous!.
So the question is:
Do we need Cavani at Chelsea?
What do you people think? I have written a blog post previously about the fact that Fernando Torres is now our main man with Danny Sturridge and Romelu Lukaku as a backup (if he doesn't go out on loan) and I personally think that we do not need to buy another striker!
Just wondered what your opinions are on this.
KTBFFH!
78M were do they get this numbers.
ReplyDeleteWe DEFINITELY DO NOT NEED him. Even for 20 million. I must say I'm beginning to get disturbed by these "True" rumours. Even if Sturridge would leave, Cavani is not the best option cos he won't accept staying on the bench same with Torres who would feel threatened, & will not be given a long run of game starts. Presence of any striker would ultimately make sturridge to leave which I don't want cos he's going to be an adequate substitute! Confirm Oscar & get a RB (Azpi) finish.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the comment above. Cavani shouldnt even be considered. When Torres was at Liverpool,he didnt have to compete with another "top class" striker like he did at Chelsea with Drogba. If this guy comes in then we might as well sell Torres. We all know what torres is capable of and I'd like to see him to do that at our club.
ReplyDeleteCavani is a box player like gomez, he cannot make d neccessary according to the money being placed on him, we ar good with torres, he can fill the void for drogba.
