Cech reveals Chelsea's desire to continue making history.

As we are well under way with pre season, it's good to see most people back in the fold and being prepared for another season. Everyone will be looking at Chelsea this term to mount a serious title challenge and with the investment Roman has made in the squad again this summer, it's something the players are well aware of.

Petr Cech has spoken of a desire for Chelsea to become the first team EVER to retain the Champions League after winning it in Munich a few weeks ago. He said:

"We know we can challenge anyone this season and we must try to become the first team to win the Champions League for the second season running.

We have won pretty much everything as a club and this was the last trophy we were missing in the cabinet. We have put it in there now and it is a huge step forward for the whole club.

It is a massive challenge, no-one has ever done it and we will try to be the first. We have had some very good signings come into the club. Everyone wants to join Chelsea and be part of this club again."

He's right, people do want to be part of our club again and even though we finally won the competition, it's good to hear a desire to go even further within the squad.

The thing is, with the signings we have made and are rumoured to be interested in, we will have the squad to do it.

Imagine that, Chelsea becoming the first side to retain it!
